Optional 300 Hour Summer Intensive with Pre-requisite #101 & #102 Oriental Bodywork Therapist

Completes the Certified Holistic Health & Shiatsu Practitioner Diploma program

Shiatsu is a method of bodywork which allows us to give and receive care, warmth and healing through non-intrusive touch. Shiatsu greatly facilitates the movement towards greater human connection and co-operation in our highly industrialized, technological age.

Beginning Students:  Add this to your existing 1020 hour Certified Holistic Health Practitioner™ Diploma course to expand your Oriental Bodywork knowledge and proficiency.  

Advanced Students:  This training module is designed for those who wish to deepen their knowledge of Oriental Medical Theory and Shiatsu Techniques. This Summer Certificate program runs from May to July each year.

Tuition:  $3500 plus Registration fee $250, $300 International (if you are not already registered into the CHHP™ Diploma program and meet the equivalent Pre-requisite education)

Books and Supplies for #300:   $175.00 For Qualifying Students or check with your teacher if you are already in the CHHP™ Diploma course!

Windsong School of Healing is dedicated to aligning your Shiatsu training hours in bite sized Modules, to enable students to progress to an advanced level and use their training in a progressive way at each level of practice.

Your Instructors:

Mariesa Angco, Registered Shiatsu Therapist and Spa Technician, obtained her Diploma and graduated with honors from the Shiatsu School of Canada.  Along with this 2200 hour Shiatsu Diploma program, Mariesa has further training in Reiki; Neuro Muscular therapy; Cranial Sacral Therapy; Myofascial Release; Reflexology.  Mariesa is a highly regarded instructor and practitioner and students find her very inspirational to work with:)

Lori-Ann MacLeod, Certified Holistic Health Practitioner™ and Hot Waterstone Shiatsu Practitioner, obtained her Diploma and graduated with honors from Windsong School of Healing Ltd. in Canada. Along with her CHHP™ training, Lori-Ann has further training in Reiki, Munay Ki, Hot Waterstone Shiatsu, AcuChi, Ra Sheeba, Guarani Healing, Auriculotherapy, and Animal AcuChi. Lori has taught for over 20 years and has successfully run Eastern Arts Therapy Clinic and Aarastyn Holistic Awareness for the past 7 years.

Curriculum of Instruction
300 hours

A.  Shiatsu Foundation:  20 hours

B.  Shiatsu Theory: 50 hours ~ History of Shiatsu; Namikoshi principles of treatment, Masunaga principles of treatment, Use of hand and varying pressure gradients;

C.  Contraindications: 6 hours

D.   Masunaga Shiatsu Sessions performed on Side, Prone, Supine using Mat and Table: 170 hours

E.  Supervised Clinical Practice: 54 hours

F.  Case Study ~ Students choose four clients to chart and assess case study and treatment protocols
